On December 12, 2025, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce officially announced the creation of the council with the aim of strengthening economic ties and fostering partnerships between the business communities in Dubai and Bulgaria. The council’s primary mission is to expand investment cooperation across various sectors and facilitate the exchange of expertise and data between the two countries.

The launch of the council comes at a time of upward momentum in bilateral relations. According to official government data presented during the opening ceremony:

• Trade Growth: Trade in non-oil products between Dubai and Bulgaria reached 777 million dirhams (AED) in 2024, marking a solid 5% year-over-year increase.

• Business Expansion: The number of Bulgarian companies operating in Dubai is growing rapidly. As of the end of the third quarter of 2025, 243 active Bulgarian companies were registered with the Dubai Chamber of Commerce.

• Strong Momentum: In the first nine months of 2025 alone, 54 new Bulgarian companies joined the chamber, a clear sign of growing interest and new opportunities.
